Poet, filmmaker and author, Ally Acker has published three collections of poems,

Equally prolific as a filmmaker, Acker has directed ten documentaries, Filmmakers on Film, based on her

Reel Women:Pioneers of the Cinema, The First Hundred Years

Reel Women has also been made into an interactive
CD-ROM hosted by Jodie Foster

Ally Acker is the director/writer/producer of
The Flowering of the Crone: Leonora Carrington, Another Reality
. The film is the first feature length documentary to be produced about the renowned Surrealists life and work in the United States.
